    Description

    FLEETWOOD MAC's  GREATEST ALBUM
This award is an original Platinum award ordered by Warner Brothers and designed and made by my father,  Ken Kittinger,  the premier gold record maker in the music industry for 50 years  (Google "Ken Kittinger Gold Records").  He made thousands of rock,  country,  pop and other genres as they became certified gold or platinum and the record labels wanted to send these IN-HOUSE awards to radio stations,  DJ's,  promotional agencies and other music exec's in gratitude for their airplay or other assistance in helping sales of the album to reach sales levels for various certifications.
The framed photo (REPRODUCED)  includes signatures of Mick Fleetwood,  Stevie Nicks,  Christine and John McVie,  and Lindsey Buckingham.  This photo was originally signed by all four just before the in-house awards were ordered and  sent to radio stations,  DJ's and music VIP's in the U.S.  It was never available for sale to the public and is available now only because of Mr. Kittinger's passing and the liquidation of his vast estate of inventory.  It has only recently been made available when found among his thousands of boxed up gold & platinum awards ordered by the record labels over the years.
    RUMOURS
was one of the most difficult and controversial albums ever produced. It took over a year to cut the tracks.   WHY ?  because every band member was going through relationship dramas that were extreme.  Mick Fleetwood had just found out his wife was having an affair with his best friend.  Christine and John McVie had just divorced as John was a raging alcoholic and refused to stop drinking.  Lindsey and Stevie could barely look at one another as their long-time romance hit the skids and the only time they spoke was then they had to during recording sessions and spoke about the lyrics and tracks.
Further,  for a year,  the group was so stressed that they arrived at the recording studios at 7 p.m.,  partied and gorged on food,  snorted coke until about 2 a.m. every night before they began trying (TRYING)  to record.  Christine McVie said in an interview that the group was so smashed they could barely understand one another.  The music tracks (percussion and guitars)  were so overdubbed that they were virtually ruined after six months and audio experts had to be recruited to electronically bring them back to life in order not to lose all the work completely.
    AND IN THE END.....
    RUMOURS
is one of the greatest albums ever recorded and ever released in the music world in ANY genre.   Fleetwood Mac was already a great band,  but this album made them a "FOREVER GREAT"  band.  And
    RUMOURS
is working toward selling 50-million copies today worldwide.
This award is rare because it is part of my father's estate after he passed having made awards for half a century for Elvis,  Johnny Cash,  Merle,  Bruce Springsteen,  Michael Jackson,  Aerosmith,  The Stones,  David Bowie,  The Doors,  and hundreds of superstars and just plain old "stars."  Country, rock, pop and all.  Every record label from Nashville, to NY,  LA,  London and beyond.    We are still finding some of his treasures like this recently found.  A limited number of them are available with a Certificate of Authenticity showing the provenance of his estate and the order from Warner Brothers in 1978 after their Grammy for Best Album of the Year.
AWARD IS 13 x 13 x 1" deep (Shadow Box).  Graphics are under glass and 3D lifted on Platinum electroplated LP.   Photo is 9 X 12...glossy - glass framed.
Your name will be solicited for the COA.
Here is a link to some of his other awards currently available.  I am 73 and a retired CNN anchor and NBC White House reporter and do eBay listings alone,  so I can only handle about 80 to 100 at a time,  but I add new listings as older ones sell out.
