Great Britain - First Decimal Coins - 5 Coins - 1971 - Pre-release - Royal Mint Packaging - On Monday, February 15th, 1971 Great Britain converted to a decimal currency system. In anticipation of this event, the Royal Mint issued a number of five decimal coin sets. This folder comes as originally issed by the Royal Mint with five uncirculated coins. The Half-penny, Penny and Two Pence coins are dated 1971 and the Five Pence and Ten Pence coins are dated 1968. Nice piece of British numismatic history.
