Dowflake Xtra Calcium Chloride is made for ice melting, dust control, concrete acceleration, road constructions (road base stabilization) and maintenance, tire weighting and many other applications. Less Dowflake is needed due to its higher concentration; it has 10% more calcium chloride then conventional flake calcium chloride products. When you apply this product to unpaved surfaces it reduces dust because it absorbs the moisture which keeps the surface wet and holds the dust to the gravel. When you add to concrete it increases the strength and protects in cold weather.
We apologize for the increase price for this item; this is due to the heavy weight of the items. Starting in 2020, FedEx and UPS started charging an additional fee for items that weigh more than 50 lbs. We regret any inconvenience this has caused our customers.
